Lewis, Lindsey

Lindsey was born in Raleigh, North Carolina where both her parents worked as engineers in Research Triangle Park. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in both chemistry and music. During her undergrad, Lindsey was inducted into the Eugene S. Mayer Honor Society for Community service and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Following graduation, Lindsey was accepted into the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. During Medical School, Lindsey not only earned her Doctor of Medicine but a Master’s in Public Health. Lindsey completed multiple research projects. Her work resulted in the co-authorship of a paper published in a peer-reviewed journal (Journal of Pediatrics).  During medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lindsey volunteered with the Student Health Action Coalition. Lindsey enjoys slalom water skiing and sports, group fitness classes, design and interior decorating, and spending time with family and friends.
