Tiffani-Amber was born and raised in New York and relocated to Kissimmee, Florida to complete high school. She majored in Biological Sciences with a minor in Sociology at the University of Connecticut and continued her medical education at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Tiffani prides herself in mentorship of students spanning from middle school to undergraduate students, specifically underrepresented students. Her introduction to mentorship developed from her position as the mentorship coordinator for the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), where she played an integral role in the development of workshops for regional and national conferences. As an Urban Service Track Scholar (UST), she gained valuable experiences working on an inter-professional team to provide preventative and primary care to urban underserved communities. Her passion for providing holistic care inspired her to complete a Master of Public Health degree, focusing on reproductive rights and global health. Her Master’s thesis highlighted the barriers women faced to exclusively breastfeed and avenues to promote breastfeeding to mothers. Outside of medicine, Tiffani is an avid traveler and an adventure junkie. Her favorite destinations thus far have been Japan, Peru, and Costa Rica. However, one destination that is dear to her heart is traveling to Jamaica to visit her family. Fond memories of beach days from childhood has made her a self-proclaimed beach connoisseur.
