Lindsey was born in Gainesville, Florida, and shortly after, her family moved to Orlando, where she was raised. She began to play volleyball at a young age, eventually leading her to attend Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!). During her time at Tech, she competed for all four years and earned All-ACC First Team honors every year. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, awarded summa cum laude. She returned to Orlando to begin medical school in 2018 at the University of Central Florida. Throughout her four years at UCF, she was heavily involved with the Chapman Compassionate Care Clinic for the homeless and also served as treasurer for their chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association. In her third and fourth years of medical school, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. She is very passionate about women’s health education, comprehensive sexual education, and reproductive rights. She is still an active member of Girlology, an organization that teaches school-age girls about women’s health, and a Planned Parenthood volunteer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog Ellie and husband Sam, attending workout classes, and still plays the occasional volleyball.
